  1. Flight Operations

Corail Hélicoptères Ltd is an air carrier certified by the Mauritius Department of Civil Aviation under  the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) No. 03.

Helicopter flights are conducted under Visual Flight Rules (VFR), as prescribed by the Mauritius Civil Aviation.

All flights remain subject to the approvals and authorizations of the relevant competent authorities.

Flight durations are indicative only and may vary depending on weather conditions, air traffic, operational requirements, and airspace authorizations.

  1. Minimum Passenger Requirements

Each helicopter is subject to a minimum passenger occupancy requirement (for example: four (4) passengers for the H120 and six (6) passengers for the H130).

Should the minimum number of passengers not be reached, Corail Hélicoptères Ltd reserves the right to postpone or cancel the flight.

  1. Prices and Tickets

Prices are quoted per passenger, inclusive of VAT, and may be revised at any time. They are established on the basis of full aircraft occupancy.

If the number of passengers booked on a flight is insufficient and/or weather conditions are unfavourable, the Company reserves the right to transfer passengers to another scheduled flight or to cancel the flight.

In such cases, passengers may either:

  • be rebooked on another available departure time, in which case the new booking becomes final; or
  • receive a refund corresponding solely to the amount paid for the ticket, without entitlement to any additional compensation.

Children under two (2) years of age travel free of charge, provided they have not yet reached their second birthday on the date of travel and valid proof of age is presented.

Tickets are neither exchangeable nor refundable, except where the Company decides otherwise following flight cancellation due to adverse weather conditions or any other operational reason.

Gift vouchers are valid for six (6) months from the date of purchase. They are neither refundable nor exchangeable unless otherwise decided by the Company.

  1. Flight Schedules

Corail Hélicoptères Ltd provides flight schedules for information purposes only and reserves the right to modify them after informing the Customer in advance. Accordingly, published flight schedules are not guaranteed.

6. Operating Hours

Corail Hélicoptères Ltd operates daily from sunrise to sunset, subject to prevailing weather conditions and pilot flight and duty time limitations.

The following information is required to complete a booking:

  • Body weight (±2 kg), gender and date of birth of each passenger;
  • A valid telephone number and email address.

Payment

Payment may be made either via a secure Payment Link sent to the Customer or in cash at our Triolet base.

Full payment must be received prior to the scheduled flight in order to confirm the booking. Until payment has been received in full, the reservation shall be considered provisional and is not guaranteed.

8. Cancellations

Cancellation by the Company

Corail Hélicoptères Ltd reserves the right to cancel any flight due to adverse weather conditions, technical reasons, operational requirements or any event of force majeure.

Should a flight be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, technical issues or unforeseen restrictions imposed by the competent authorities, passengers may choose either:

  • to receive a full refund of the amount paid for the ticket; or
  • to reschedule their flight for a later date, subject to availability.

No additional compensation shall be payable.

The following cancellation policy applies to cancellations made by passengers:

  • A full refund (100%) will be granted for cancellations made more than forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • A fifty percent (50%) refund will be granted for cancellations made between twenty-four (24) and forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • No refund will be granted for cancellations made less than twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled departure time or in the event of a passenger’s failure to travel (“no-show”).

9. Delays

Passengers are requested to report to reception at least forty-five (45) minutes before the scheduled departure time.

Corail Hélicoptères Ltd cannot be held responsible for passengers arriving late.

In such circumstances, the Company reserves the right to operate the flight as scheduled.

Passengers arriving more than fifteen (15) minutes after the scheduled departure time will be considered as a “no-show”, and a cancellation fee equivalent to one hundred percent (100%) of the ticket price will apply.

10. Weather Conditions

Weather conditions are assessed by the pilot approximately fifteen (15) minutes before the scheduled departure on the day of the flight.

As weather conditions in Mauritius may change rapidly, the pilot has sole discretion to determine whether the flight can be operated safely.

In the interest of flight safety, the pilot retains full authority and responsibility to maintain, postpone or cancel any flight whenever weather conditions are deemed unsuitable.

11. Passenger Seating

In accordance with aviation regulations relating to aircraft weight and balance limitations, passengers’ weights will be recorded prior to boarding.

Seat allocation is determined exclusively by the Company based on each passenger’s weight and the aircraft’s weight and balance requirements.

Passengers are not permitted to choose their seats.

12. Photography and Filming

Passengers may take photographs or videos for personal use during the flight, provided that such activities do not interfere with flight safety or the Company’s operations.

Should any photographs, videos or other recordings be considered detrimental to the Company’s interests, Corail Hélicoptères Ltd reserves the right to take appropriate legal action and to require the immediate removal of such content.

Any commercial use, publication or distribution of photographs or videos taken during the flight is strictly prohibited without the Company’s prior written consent.

13. Helicopter Transfer Service

Baggage

All aircraft are subject to strict passenger and baggage weight limitations.

Prior to confirming a flight, the Company may record the weight and dimensions of all baggage in order to ensure compliance with aircraft operational limitations.

Flight confirmations are issued on the basis of the information provided by the Customer. The Customer is responsible for informing Corail Hélicoptères Ltd of any subsequent changes.

The Company reserves the right to refuse a booking if the applicable weight limitations are exceeded or if baggage cannot be carried safely within the aircraft baggage compartment.

Corail Hélicoptères Ltd provides the dimensions and specifications of the baggage compartments for each aircraft upon request.

Passengers are reminded that certain items are classified as Dangerous Goods under the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) regulations or are otherwise restricted or prohibited. Passengers must notify the Company as soon as possible if they intend to travel with such items.

Where security inspections are carried out by the Police, Customs authorities or Corail Hélicoptères Ltd personnel, passengers remain fully responsible for their baggage, even where it is transported separately.

The carriage of baggage belonging to a person who is not travelling on the same flight is prohibited, except where members of the same family group are travelling on separate flights solely for operational weight and balance reasons.

Should a passenger refuse a baggage inspection or if there is reason to believe that prohibited or restricted items are concealed within the baggage, such baggage will not be accepted for carriage.

14. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with applicable legislation relating to transport services, tickets purchased online are not subject to any statutory right of withdrawal.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to transport, accommodation, catering or leisure services provided on a specified date or during a specified period.

15. Insurance and Liability

Corail Hélicoptères Ltd maintains all insurance policies and civil liability coverage required for its activities as a commercial air carrier.

Passenger liability coverage is provided in accordance with limits comparable to those established under the Warsaw Convention governing international air transport.
